Facebook Ads
First of all, what types of ads Facebook has:- regular targeted ads on computers (where you customize the ads and pay Facebook),
- targeted ads on mobile devices (this is important because out of 1.3 billion users, 800 million of them come from mobile devices),
- advertising on themed Pages (where you negotiate with the admin and pay them directly, and they place your ad post on their Page).
Where on Facebook can ads be placed?
Attention! The most interesting part begins.
Ads can be placed not only in a special right column, but also directly in the News Feed, just like any Page
post..
- a picture (aspect ratio of 1.91:1, or 600x315 pixels),
- headline (up to 25 characters)
- text (up to 90 characters).
Here is an example of a close-up ad:
In the News Feed, ads have all the same attributes as a regular Facebook post (except for the gray “Advertisement” label): a text status, a large full-width image, a prominent headline, and even a link description:
It is the News Feed ads that are used in 80% of all ad campaigns.
The CTR of ads (number of clicks divided by impressions) in the Newsfeed is 10 times higher than the CTR for the
right column.
If we talk about thematic advertising communities, there are enough of them on Facebook to find your target
audience there.
